Summary

Parasha Sh’lach Lecha (“send for yourself”) recounts the story of the twelve spies sent by Moses to scout the Promised Land, ten of whom return with a fearful report, leading the Israelites to doubt God’s promise and rebel. As a result, God decrees that the current generation will wander in the wilderness for forty years, with only Joshua and Caleb, the two faithful spies, allowed to enter the land.
